The tournament is sold out, i.e. 360 players. There will be 2 side events, buy-in 200 and 400€, to our knowledge they are, or will be sold out also.

Registering going on..in a confused way and play will not start on time. There are 90 finns and 50 swedes present and also players from Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Russia, Israel, Poland, Great Britain and Germany, and then perhaps some.

130 players will start today. The starting stack is 20000 and levels will change at first every 45 minutes and later every 55 minutes. No list of participants have been given so far, but we will round up the usual suspects when the seating has taken place.

And the cards are in the air..first level 25/50, 45 minutes.

BTW the cold of northern Europe has crept close to these happy islands, the weather is almost chilly at 60F, with some rain.

Finn V-P Alakorva starts with a bang:
At a flop of 6JA, his opponent bets 2000, V-P calls with AK. Turn 2 and a 3000 bet, call. River is a 6, a bet and a call. Pot around 20K. Opponent shows TT.

A latecomer is given a 'vacant' seat instead of his own. His dismay is palpable when he discovers Anton Wigg, winner of the EMOP Barcelona on his immediate right. Eventually he gets his assigned chair....
