Kristian Eriksson bet a re-raise all-in with K4o before the flop and Maciej called with KK.
Flop came Q34, 6, and 5. The swede has now been eliminated at 3rd place.

Headsup has begun. Playing has been cautious and stacks are even.

When the table was AAQ7, a conclusion to the game was almost reached, but Swicarz backed out of calling Wigg's all-in bet at the last minute.

Maceij check-W 88-call
Turn K
Maceij check-W 175- call
River 4

Swicarz doubled up.

Swicarz had been repeatedly receiving small hits from the swede, but he's rose up, when the chips were pushed in at the turn.

T  6 :diamond: 2  J :diamond:

Maciej AJo
Anton T5

The situation is now 2,2-1,6 to the swede.

The situation was almost turning the other way around, until Wigg got pocket threes and Maciej calling a pre-flop all-in with K9. The table was 87QAA, so the swede doubled up to the chipleader's position again. The situation is now in Wigg's favor 3,2-06.

And we have a winner!

In the final hand with a flop of 962 rainbow, Swicarz pushed all-in.

Maciej 9 :spade: 3 :spade:
Anton A9

The turn's 5 :spade: opened up a backdoor spade flush draw, but the river was a red Q.

Anton Wigg won EMOP Barcelona and Maciej Swicarz came in second.

Congratulations Anton!

11 players returned to Gran Casino Barcelona for the final day. For the finns, the day was gloomy to say the least, when all three ended up at the 8th, 10th and 11th place only. Juha-Matti Toivainen commented his first big livetournament : "I'm pretty satisfied, yeah. An excellent investment for eight euros." The swedes and the polish Maciej Swicarz dominated the events of the final table, in fact, five out of the six final players were swedish. After Viktor Manfred Kåvenstam was eliminated at 4th place, the three final players made a deal according to the chips. In the end, they played for honor, a small amount of money, and a Gaudian trophy. Swicarz then eliminated Eriksson and heads-up was a steady race between Wigg and Swicarz. Swicarz dominated the table for a moment, but in the end, swedish Wigg managed to take control over Swicarz permanently. In the final hand, the chips were pushed in at the flop, when both had caught the top pair, but the swede's pair of nines with an ace kicker was enough to win EMOP Barcelona this time.

1 Anton Wigg 55.502e
2 Maciej Swicarz 73.655e
3 Kristian Eriksson 65.565e
4 Manfred Kåvestam 23.142e
5 Morgen Karlsson 18.354e
6 Andreas Jansson 15.162e
7 Diomedes Sebastiano 12.768e
8 Juha-Matti Toivainen 10.773
9 Julien Herold 8.778e

The tournament series' final stop is at Malta and will be played at the end of september in Vittorio. After four EMOP tournaments, the 1st place of the leaderboard belongs to Maciej Swicarz followed by Reuven Dayan and Johanna Pyysing. The sidetournament played on saturday found its winner in Jukka Parviainen. Jukka earned over 15000€ for his first place.

I would now like to thank each and everyone of you who've been reading this thread for the past four days. Also, the people who really deserve the praise are Juha and Vesa (Sorry for revealing your secret identities, guys!) for the actual coverage they did in Barcelona. I am personally, incredibly grateful for everyone who's been reading this thread and left feedback, and I can say that the whole team here at pokeri.com appreciates you. As such, we sincerely hope that you return in september to read our coverage on EMOP Malta.

Until then,
